Is this a viable project?

Depends. If you happened to have a big shed and were a skilled boat maker who happens to have nothing to do tgen maybe.

But if you have to pay others to fix and store it not a chance. It will never be 100% and will likely only ever be worth 80% of a non sunk original. And that assumes the engines and genny run.

I agree with Whitelighter If you have the skills and a shed and 5 years and assuming the engines are recoverable it could be a runner.

But if you pay someone no chance.

So if you paid £30k maybe but not £168 that's way over the top.

After I wrote the above I then looked at the photos:

Note no deck rails, canopy, fly cover etc, inside stripped out, serious damage to swim platform, shafts, props and rudders removed.

It was a complete sinker!

In my view engines and genny are scrap.

Needs complete rewiring all aircon, domestic appliaces us.

Its a bare hull with windows and a lot of damage, 30k tops.

Let me just say that this is not a project I'm considering.
It's a shame to see it like this, anyone know the story?

Someone probrably bought it cheap as salvage and then realised how much work was involved then decides to try their luck and get rid of and hoping for a profit!!!
To me this looks worth scrap value, will be expensive to move as well.

Even if you got it at a decent price and had the time to repair it yourself, I wonder if there would be an issue ever trying to insure it again after that amount of structural damage unless a recognised repair company carring out the work in conjunction with an engineer?

Be interesting to see what happens to it, I just hope someone doesnt sink (pardon he pun!) their life savings in to it without understanding the purchase is just the start with that.

Always sad to see though, no matter what size boat it is...
