Having just sold my yacht, I am running round looking for oppurtunites (sailing and "shore work"). I have been round the local clubs and marinas with the "crew available flyer" and have posted on the sbc forum here.

Is there any more I can do to aid my need for salt water.

Any comments welcomed

Thanks

Buy another. It's the only proven cure to salt deprivation.

The Cruising Association operates a crewing service,Telephone 020 7537 2828 for more info. There is a small charge to non members. There are always people looking for crew so good luck.

Sorry to keep going on about this but you do NOT need to own a boat to go sailing. Crewing and chartering opportunities aside, there are plenty of clubs which run boats for the benefit of members, and if the club runs largely on volunteer (ie your) labour the cost is likely to be far less than that of boat ownership; plus there is no problem finding crew, and it's far more sociable than owning your own boat.
You probably know all that; I'm posting just in case there's someone who doesn't.
The world is far too full of AWBs sitting in marina berths. (One of them is mine, but I got plenty of sailing before I bought her.)

Thanks Everyone it looks as though i have covered as much as I can. Blackbeard, I had intended on joing a club soon, but thaks for the thought.

Next stop is courses.
