Interesting.
I don't think sailing is a sport other than perhaps yacht racing for a few hours. Also, with high end racing like AC, the boats are tailored very much to the locale and local anomalies. Not many compromises in a snooker table or tennis court.
Are there many compromises in say a glider plane ?
All you can really say about sailing is that it some kind of an activity
