I need some help commissioning a YSE8 - in particular, I do not understand the throttle and engine stop set-up. I have some pictures that I would love to share with anyone that can assist via email - rather impractical to try and describe the dilemma. nigel_marshall@vipinternational.co.uk. Anyone that can help I will be most grateful.

Thanks Paul. Unfortunately the only way to explain the situation is pictorially. Luckily another reader volunteered his support albeit I am sure that by now he is regretting doing so!!
Thanks Nigel

Hi Nigel
I trust that you have a separate gear lever and throttle lever on this boat.
Both the YSE 8 and YSE 12 can not be run using a single lever control.
If it is attempted, you will close down the unit while changing from ahead to astern.
The handbook is fairly definite on how to set up the throttle, governer and the
springs involved. It does take a bit of concentration, and if any of the parts are badly worn, especially the fuel injection pump spindle seat, then you will have starting problems.
I know a man who has the books, give me a email and I will give you his details
Regards
GrahamC
