Is there a Sealine owners forum

To be honest there are very few problems that are Sealine specific so I've tended to stick to this forum for knowledge sharing although you have to put up with a few misinformed Sealine knockers.......just wait for them now!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There's no denying that Sealine have a loyal (mentalist) following who have obviously never owned anything else!

They must be a discerning bunch, that make the right
choice first time round ......

Why do some people knock Sealine - they offer a decent product at a good price - no it isn't a SunseekerPrincessFairline - but it's CHEAPER!!!!

There is a place in the market for everyone - and I remember when Skoda got the p**s ripped out of them - but again they have a purpose and a place in the market too.

It's all to do with brand snobbery - something this country suffers from like no other!

This is an interesting example of perception. No they are not cheaper, in fact a couple of years back when I made a price comparison they were more expensive than Princess. I'm not a convert yet to the new design so it's difficult now to compair like for like.
I'd be happy to own either of the three above and there is really no difference in build or finish quality against Sealine, just style and fuctionality differences which comes down to personal taste in the end.

Thanks for the info guys, didnt have much luck with the link to the sealine forum. I must say I generally love the shape of sealines they have beautiful lines, but these new ones are just plain ugly, if sealine continue with this kind of design I believe this will be their downfall not the credit crunch.

Aviator, point well made and agreed.

I have owned 2 Sealines - bought the 2nd one because I was happy. Didn't buy a third because of lousy after sales.

I now own a Fairline and very happy.

Others here have had good after sales from Sealine - otheres are unhappy with Fairline (Phantom 46 thread for example).

Others recommend Princess (Hurricane, Jimmy the builder etc but don't mention Princess to Magnum.

Don't know about Sunseeker.

Seems Broom enjoy a good reputation though.

YOU are a member !!?? Loved the web site ! It looks like you have started your own site due to the LACK of a Sealine owners club ! I am just wondering how we can advertise your site to get people looking at it, it is worth a look just for the wellies !

my wellies are PRIVATE!!!!!................glad you had a giggle......i get the impression some people forget thats what it,s all about... it,s not me who does the site but some old git called dave who allways seem to stowaway for a ride !

As a non Sealine owning boater, could not agree with you .....LESS,regards design.
Previous styling efforts have always given an impression similar to that of early far eastern car designs viz.Kia or Proton ie.far too fussy with lumps and bulges thrown with gay abandon in a vain attempt to out style the existing competition.
Result,an ice cream left a little to long in the sun.
However they sold in shed loads,
With all the new designs they have taken a chance to get well away from the safe
"me too" tired stuff that many boat builders cling to,look at all the tired old bubble boats yet again being recycled by Cranchi,Regal,Searay etc etc, whos main idea seems to be lets turn the radar arch round the other way this year,fine....... lookers in 1990s ....... but not so hot now ?
Deep breath......could well be me helming a 19th hand SC in 20 years time. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
