I popped in to see Ben at Clipper Swanwick yesterday. He tells me they had the best show in their history and are opening another office, this time Gosport, that's 3 this year!

There seems to be a lot more movement out there just wondering if it's true or am I imagining it??? Boats DO seem to be selling.

I hope what I am seeing is correct, would be about time.

I've had a few offers thrown my way lately... 1 of them actually being very close to acceptable. So I guess people are still spending money.

On a side note, in Ireland, so far this year, 56% of residential property purchases have been cash.... there is mattress money out there

I sold my Bav within four months of placing an ad on Appollo Duck and just as I sold it I had an enquiry from my Ebay ad. I heard yesterday that two new Bavs will shortly be arriving at the Cobbs Quay Drystack.

If peeps in the Repiblic are paying cash, ie the folding stuff, there must be a lot of bent solictors on the go. I thought EU money laundering regs prohibited more than 10k Euros in actual cash as payment or part payment in any one transcation. Or summat like that.

Wonder how they police that ! I think cash lodgings over banks is reported, but that is so old school, no money launderer is going to that anyway. With dirty money allegedly heading towards a trillion dollars a year, I think those guys have got a bit beyond a suitcase of cash !

Incorrect.

Any transaction over X amount (X being quite a small figure), the source must be declared to the Law Society of Ireland via solicitor. There is nothing wrong with having physical notes as savings, so long as it comes from a legit source... some people don't like banks y'know

When I say 'cash' though, I mean non credit.... a standard term tbh
