Oh... should have come over and said hello!... we had a fridge full of cold beer and wine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I wasn't that impressed with Calais... it was basically OK, but the lock was very limiting, and the port control was downright rude on the VHF!... I thought Boulogne was nicer....

Yes but Boulogne smells at low water unless you in the Basin Napoleon which we found very pleasant with less demand on the loos. But of course you have to lock in there.
