Is my boat a classic, or just old?

She is an ex admiralty Pinnace, built 1923, converted in late 60's. Not to any plan that I can discern.

The purists would probably say that she'll only be a classic if you strip everything out and return her to being an open passenger vessel.

Definitely a classic. Regardless of how she's fitted out. I hope the purists don't find out what I'm planning to do to Crystal over the winter - an experiment to fit a computerised navigation and control system into a custom mahogany panel behind the chart table, which usually hides behind a panelled flap.

It's more secure than using our laptop, and seeing as I hate locking Crystal, will make life easier without altering the look of her interior. I don't take classic as far as having to be totally without any unoriginal equipment.

Very nice for a motor boat. The union flag on the foredeck is a bit over the top though.
