Is it worth the extra £100 - £130 for an airdeck?

Re PVB, you don't need to install slats more than once a season, they roll nicely up with the dinghy. At least they do in both the Bombard we have.

However if they are plywood they will break.

Our bigger Bombard now has solid wood slats from a repurposed futon base.

I found some plastic battens for the smaller one.

I suspect the inflatable floor creates a better, more robust, product.

Until it leaks. And at that point you probably need a new floor sooner or later, if you can get one.

Whereas you can keep replacing slats for ever, or at least until you scrap the dinghy for another reason.
