To go to the boat, but not actually to go anywhere.

In defence I started one enginge and ran it in gear, to run some antifreeze round. Does this count as propulsion use, I only went about a foot before the ropes came tight??

I am not sure. But just in case I have called the HMRC snitchline and dobbed you in. When they get there, you can asked them.

Was that the engine that provides hot water?? ... if not it could be seen as commercial... in preparation for towing the marina to a different taxation area ... subject to approprate coding of course..

the way Kwackers has double tied us up we ain't going anywhere without the whole marina, mind its all to the same two pontoon cleats. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You went about a foot!
Don't dangle those legs in the water again Debs!
No wonder the wharps stretched.

No but that's the one I haven't licked clean yet /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thats the other reason for not going anywhere. We're stitched up like a kipper.

Oh how much antifreeze can you drink before it becomes poisonous, I siphoned the water out the header tank and maybe drank a bit. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You're doomed!
Unless you declared it to HMRC as liquer and paid the duty on it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Er, why? Isn't it the heating fuel element which attracts the low duty not the propulsion element so why bother starting your engines at all?

Actually, the best countermeasure to antifreeze poisening is alcohol.

Not a nice way to go, it would seem.
