Is it my PC or the forum?

My personal settings should bring the forum up with the threads in the order in which they were last posted upon. Most do come up in this order but some are not, they seem to be 'stuck'. Anyone else notice this.

I recently installed SP2 but I recall noticing this prior to that.

Whilst mentioning SP2, after installation I lost all my Outlook Express mails (found them later), all my address book (reappeared a couple of days after) and my network stopped working (took 5 hours to sort and I still don't know how I fixed it) :(

Re: Wot? U mean U don\'t read \'em all? nm

Part of what they called communication studies in first year. Taught you how to stand up in front of audience and perform (they video taped and played back and everyone in class commented on performance) how to revise, study etc. One small part was speed reading......given set texts to read, put your hand up when finished...then tested on comprehension of texts by being asked questions on it. I used to read mine 3 or 4 times before putting hand up, 2nd or 3rd, but was caught out when they realised I was reading multiple times, so they took me aside and did some real tests. could do 75^% comprehension at 7000 wpm, which is way beyond what most people do when reading slowly for accurate comprehension. Something to do with the way I read whole sentences rather than individual words.

Anyway, that's beside the point. Reading the forums is actually slowed down by download speed, so usually have 3 windows open...one for mobo, one for scuttlebutt, one for pbo, and shuttle between them, then dive off into the rest in between, so almost always doing a download on one forum while reading another.

I really do read every post, honest!

Eek"! Kim, this doesn't make sense without rest of thread? If going to delete things, do it comprehensively?

We know, just talking to yourself again Brendan /forums/images/icons/smile.gif. But neat trick how you managed to get another non posting forumite's username into the header - how?

Think administration problem. Kim has deleted chunk of postings, but my view still leaves some of them, one of which I responded to

Was just pulling your leg Brendan.

Was an interesting post in any event and stood quite happily by itself. I find have to repeat according to the need to remember. Alternatively, when convenient and like some forumites, I just imagine it read to say what I would like it to say.

Regards

OK
This is weird, as none of this is showing on the site? Not to me anyway, unless I click on the thread, when this lot turns up

Yes it seems there are a few problems. All the things that have been mentioned plus I am sure all of a sudden a whole new block of posts turn up out of the aether.

We have been having ADSL problems back at the exchange here this morning too so that makes it all a bit more complicated!
