ust did a search on sail numbers. Found a selection. opened first thread and read first post. Went back via back button to look at another post and got "page expired" notice. Went to restart search but was told could not do that yet.

Must be me but can't wee why. Any tips?

Yes it is you.

just did a search and had no problem using the back button.

However, the best method is to right click on the item or link and select 'open in a new page' then close that new page when done to return to the list, this saves re-loading the original page several times.

or instead of right clicking, just hold down the shift key while you click as normal, and then it'll also open a new window....
