Forgot to put my greenhouse engine heaters in and debating whether I should drive down to boat before my next authorised boat visit on Sunday?

Should I be safe until then?

Thanks

Nick

Frost Ah yes I remember that. I would take 2-3 nights of considerable frost to freeze your engines Nick. If you go down Sunday and its frosty, there should be no wind a therefore good conditions, some of my best cruising was had on such mornings

Re: Sun_Coast

OK, I give in! Why have you suddenly started putting people's names in the Subject line? Me yesterday, Nwclegg and now LJS. Is it a secret code?

Re: Brendan

Re: ThermalLongJohns

Well it does seem like a long time ago when I used to cruise the uk (only been here since March) but like I say I remember frosty morning with fondness/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Brendan

But you can see instantly anyway, it's wot threaded post forums are for?

and the reply also says; Re;'name of poster being replied to' on it

Re: And so on Bren

I know that, but if you go on again a day later there may be loads more posts you may or may not want to read, so short of using flat mode (which can take time to laod on a big fred) you can instantly see if so and so has replied to you

Re: And so on Bren

I still don't follow. If you use flat mode, you can't see who has responded to who.

Using threaded mode, I can see exactly who has responded to who. The thread yesterday where you responded to me with a title 'Brendan' ended up with a whole section of the thread titled 'Brendan' becasue no one changed the title and they weren't responses to me. So, the only way I could see which 'Brendan' post were to me was to use the normal threaded post view.

"I still don't follow. If you use flat mode, you can't see who has responded to who".

On the contrary in flat mode you CAN see whos responded to who, but like I say if the thread is very big then my old PC takes a long time to go to flat mode.

On the Help Targa thread you responded to stuartb, when he used the same method. Cant see the problem Brendan

Re: And so on Bren

When I use flat mode, all the posts are just in chronological order, so you cannot see who responded to who, just the time sequence. When I use threaded mode the replies are indented below the message to which they responded, so you can see exactly which messages are linked.

>>On the Help Targa thread you responded to stuartb, when he used the same method<<

No, I responded to stuart because I could see from threaded mode that he had responded to one of my posts. The reason that it had Brendan in the title is because you had already changed the title in that part of the thread. Stuart didn't enter the title, it was the default that you entered previously

ie. You post a message to me, and title it 'Brendan'
I respond and post a message to you. I don't change the title so it stays as 'Brendan'
stuartb responds to this post. He doesn't change the title so it stays as 'Brendan'
I respond to his post. I don't change the title so it stays as 'Brendan'
