No, it's not losing its charm. 10 years in Southampton have produced three break-ins, in spite of good alarms etc. This is my first theft in 35 years in Greece never bothering to lock doors, close hatches or take any precautions . . . OK, only 30% of the year in Greece, 40% in UK, and 30% other places!

Have spent the last 10 weeks going east from Kilada to Kea and then to most of the Cyclades.Then from Milos across to Monemvasia and now in Argolic Gulf.Good sailing,good food,good value and very good welcome. Can't understand the mourners/moaners.

Does seem so. Just as we are expecting a low over Cyprus and a high over the Balkans to get the meltemi going, we currently have just the opposite. The meteorologists seem to be struggling with it: meteo.gr, Windfinder and Poseidon all contradicting each other.

Don't blame them, being confused.
I've just taken another 3 night @ Kas marina done a wine-tasting in the local winery and come back with a bottle of their take on a bordeaux to taste @ Elas tonight.
Downloaded two totally different GRIBs 18 hours apart. Looks as though the meltemi might start to re-form Monday afternoon, meanwhile it's blowing a W hooley, around the Peloponnesus and S Aegean.

Gaios stank like an open sewer earlier this week could for the same reason.

Gaios stinks always in the harbour. Can not moor there.
Lakka stinks by the caffees but I guess it could be the sewage that turned colour from turquoise to green.....

I went and anchored in Lakka one April - low season and even then it stank. Boaters blame the cafés and Cafés blame the boaters. Pretty place but what an olfactory disaster.
