Brings back great memories .
Top end was well in excess of 32 knots and cruised at 26knots when the sea state was right .
I think his top end quote of 22and cruise at 16 was perhaps sign of things not running right before the engine packed up.

Hi Paul,
Yes a bit of a mixed season, great start but the Hurth ZF 63 gearbox that a large well known company installed overheated before 2 year warranty was up , less than 80 hours of light use .
We had a new gearbox fitted a couple of years ago when we were in Chichester and it wasn’t my usual trusted mechanic.
I have bought another new one and we are back in the water playing again but missed about 6 weeks of the season June/July
Currently trying to get ZF to replace under warranty but there was a trail of issues with the installation.
Cooler impact damage so salter water ingressed
Wrong temp sender fitted so warning of overheat too late
Reused nylon thread lock nuts and didn’t tighten them so the flexible coupling came apart while underway
No earth bonding so corroision damage
