Re: Hell on Earth or the smell of Suncream.

Well dont listen to Oldgit, ....... tonight for instance I'm having me birthday party bash on the boat, drinks nibbles music, I may even sing meself. Will have guaranteed sunshine, starting about 7.30 so wont be too hot, drinks on the fly and cockpit, and if its gets too hot inside and put the AC on.. May even go for a spin drop anchor and swim, as the sea state is a mild W1-2

Yes this is the life.

Cor blimey Fred don't we get enough of all that during winter? It would be nice to think we get a couple of weeks of sunshine in our so called "summer"

It does seem like that, am I the only English person that likes the hot weather? Oldgit Fred loves it when its cold, raining or snowing! must be something wrong with me!

I'm with you there. The thought of living in California or somewhere like that where you get up knowing there will be sunshine and a blue sky is appalling.
Give me variation and temperate weather.

It certainly looks like we moved the boat at the right time. We've had 3 weeks with not a cloud in the sky, night before last we anchored up in the bay of Cannes to watch the Bastille Day fireworks, then last night we lay on the bow sunpad till midnight in t-shirts with a bottle of wine. The days are one endless cycle of cold beers, sunbathing and cooling off in the crystal clear water......, should I go on ???

We do fly home tommorow though .... damn.
