Is a flotilla holiday the right choice for us?

Getting the most out

If you do a couple of comp crews weekends before you set off on hols you find the learning much faster especially if you have read the appropriate books before hand. That way you will be putting the reality into the bookwork that might not have made sense on reading. All will fall into place when aboard.

Lerning on dinghies is fine is you want to sail seriously but wont be of much use for flotilla style yachting. Get on that yacht, have a ball and second time you will be taking loads of mates and you will be a very worthwhile skipper too. Have fun.

They say - pot luck flotilla - These holidays are not intended for beginners, or those with only very limited sailing experience (we offer the Learn to Sail option for those people)

Edit:
But they also say - The Bareboat/Flotilla fleet - This package is only suitable for more experienced sailors and there must be a qualified skipper (ICC minimum) ideally with a VHF licence !!
