Is 3M 3d core good replacement for balsa core

I need to replace rotten balsa under halyard stoppers and winches on 24' yacht. I am tempted to use 3M 3D core material: 3D Core - 10mm thick What do you think? Or there is yet another material I could use?

If it's small areas under highly loaded fittings, I'd use plywood or hardwood or even fill with solid resin and glass, or maybe a resin/glass bubbles mix.
EC Fibreglass sell a range of core materials. Look for something with good compression strength.

Or just fill with West Epoxy using the appropriate filler additive depending on the expected cyclical loading?
High Density might be the safest bet.
