Does anyone els have a minor little issue that is a continuing irritation?

Mine is water collecting in the ensign pole socket. If I don't check before I plug the pole in water can spurt out and splash me. Also, wood swells when wet so can't get the damn thing out again.

Long term solution will be to drill a drain hole but a mini brainwave yesterday afternoon found that the plastic cap off a 1 litre milk container snaps onto the top of the holder an absolute treat - perfick :D

Didn't take long for someone to ask: "Why have you got a green cap on your flagpole socket"?

did you fight shy of the Full Cream royal blue, ensign matching, one then ?

Neat idea. I see an idea for ebay....

YES!

The awning for our boat was replaced last year by the previous owner. Its in two sections: fore/aft. I have a navigation light/VHF aerial on top of the radar arch and so the two sections of awning are shaped to go around the fittings.

With heavy rain it dripppppps inside and is getting into the deck lights on the underside of the arch. Any suggestions how to 'block or close' the gap?

I didn't think you ever removed your ensign?

The thermostat dial on our fridge keeps vibrating around. You leave the boat with a fridge full of very chilled bottles only to find when you arrive on Friday evening they are cool at best. :(

you leave the boat with beer still left from the weekend...

...simple, drink more

We leave a box in the boot of the car so that we always haev a full, supposedly cold stock of beer for when we arrive on Friday night. Nothing worse than warm beer to welcome you to the boat.

ETA: That wasnt very well explained now was it. We leave a spare box of beer in the boot of our car over the weekend then when we get back to the marina on Sunday night, after a weekend of boating we can restock the fridge ready for Friday night. We have been caught out many times before with warm beers first thing. It isnt good.

Glad you are paying attention, your not totally far gone then....

I have to say I did see a boat from F.U.C.C. pass me on the weekend with his fenders down.....eek! (and the less said about Plumbob when he lends his boat out the better)
