Hi,
I have just bought a boat that was registered in Ireland. She was rightly removed from the Irish Registry (with a certificate to prove it). The problem is that the man at the Registry will not return the original bill of sale and builders certificate. His argument is that the registry removal certificate supercedes everything else and by law they cannot give me anything other than a certified photocopy. He says the MCA and my broker are wrong when they say that they need the originals!
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Thnks,
Dave
