I have an Iridium 9555 and I'm pretty sure the built in antenna is broken. The phone still works on the external antenna but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work on the built-in antenna. I say "pretty sure" because sometimes I find it hard to tell whether the phone is not working or if it is a network problem.
I see you can buy a replacement antenna for a 9555 for a fraction of the cost of replacing the phone.
Does anyone have experience doing this kind of repair?
Alternatively does anyone know of someone who repairs Iridium phones in the UK or Europe? There seem to be some in the US but I haven't found any here.
