Hmm... that sounds suspiciously like the Prosser who is Commodore of the Pin Mill Sailing Club. He owns a company at Hadleigh. There's also an Ipswich in New England, of course.

Since I live just outside Beccles and my local is an Adnams pub, then I will have to admit to being partial to Broadside. The current Barleymow is excellent and the Jubilee prior to this was also good. The bitter is ok. I have to say that Woodfords Wherry is not bad, Nelson's Revenge is good but Admiral's Reserve is superb.

I've been down this road, and came to a dead end. I had a leaflet picked up at a previous boatshow, picture, price etc. but telephone number discontinued and all searches yeilded nothing.

I bought an 'electronic marine barometer', this one labelled as French, but seen with different labels since... it has a display of time and/or temperature, then a rather naff 24hrs pressure display. The pressure for any hour up to 48hrs ago can be recalled. Spec is 0.1hPa resolution. You can calibrate it against a known accurate source if you care to (pressure rises/falls all that really matters). I thought this one a bit 'plasticky' but what the hell. Since then, it has hit the deck from about 6ft, twice, and is still functioning fine. Recommended.

ps google found one the same as mine <A target="_blank" HREF=http://shop.toohome.com/index.asp?nProduct=35187>here</A> but as I say, I have seen them with various re-badgings.

Wrong Numbers -Out of Date Info

The numbers given are now private residential.

Prosser split into a telecoms company and the bit that made the barometer was taken over by Stoncray Ltd.

They no longer make the barometer.
Pity - it was a great bit of kit.
