My Merry Fisher 755 (new to me) came with a Raymarine Hybirdtouch that has a 7" screen which does what I need it to do but the damn screen is too small for me! My last boat I had a nice big 12" screen. Before I go buying a new bigger head unit I was thinking of attaching my 12.9" iPad over the top of the Raymarine unit (lack of room prevents me from putting it anywhere else without obscuring either my vision out of the window or other dials and instruments on the dash) which with the right app I can mirror the chartplotter on a bigger screen!! Sounds too easy!! I'm struggling to attach the iPad over the top of the Raymarine unit! I purchased a suction iPod holder made for car use but it still swings about a bit when it gets lumpy. Has anybody successfully done this? Or fashioned something up, found a decent clamp to attach to the boat dash ? :encouragement:

You can mirror the screen on the iPad using Rayview but you won't be able to adjust any of the settings unless you use the plotter. I'm not sure if you can use another iPad or iPhone with RayRemote at the same time as RayView, I've never tried it.
The best way would be to sell the 7" screen and buy a secondhand 9" or 12". I have the 9 and it's plenty big enough.
