Re: I wish :-)

Well i do come from the same area as you, So it takes one to know one..
We are but similar/forums/images/icons/smile.gif.
I like to test people, and see how far i can get b/4 being branded a Tosser/Tw#t!!!!
I Have Learnt an awful lot from you guys on here. Thanks All/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Anyway the reason i need my mag, is cause once they have been read, i then use it as a good flat base to place under the new slabs on te path..

But who the f### cares. I've phoned IPC and changed my subcription to Homes & Gardens, To see if it would give a better base.

Re: Honest reply

I wish to join my complaints to the others on this thread.

I emailed IPC about subscriptions on the 6th Feb, NO REPLY!

I spent almost an hour on the ohone last week being passed around different people. After 3 calls,I did not get any solution to my problem. On the last call I was automatically cut off by the switchboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kim, your customers desrve better treatment than this! You say you are looking into this, when shall we experience an improvement?

Re: Honest reply

Roy,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not going to give you the kind of answer I get from South West Trains if I take the trouble to complain (ie wing it and hope the individual loses interest) because I'm not in a position to say anything other than recent complaints are being actively pursued.

I agree you should have had a response to the mail by now and should also not have been cut-off. Your post has just been forwarded to relevant publisher and subscriptions manager.

Meantime, sincere apologies.

Kim

Re: I wish :-)

I hear that in fact in your case it is a deliberate act. You have been black listed and your credit rating reduced to zero.

I can't be specific about your circumstances but it was done for two reasons.
1) To see how tolerant the MBM buying public is to poor service.
2) Because you are in danger of becoming friendly and even meeting too many fellow forumites. This would endanger the Loch boating mentality and maybe even corrupt - you know how irresponsible the Solent lot are !!! /forums/images/icons/blush.gif

BTW - I have now finished reading my MBM - read most articles many times over. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: I wish :-)

Well, Sandra, If you are finished with your copy, then you won't mind sending it to me./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

You could be right about becoming too friendly, as there is a copy of south coast Forumites making the trip north to meet me and join me in enjoying Loch Lomond, and a wee dram/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif.

As for being Black listed and credit rating reduced to zero, No change there then, That happened a long time ago when i bought my first Boat/forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Re: I wish :-)

Maybe it would be easier for IPC if they just printed one copy, and we could send it round each other. It might be quicker and would save a fortune.../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: I wish :-)

Or even publish it on here as a pdf so we could all (apart from SunCoast) read it at the same time.

Bit of a pain taking the Desktop PC into the "thone room" /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

It's not the fact that he reads it on the throne that bothers me. I'd spend all my time worrying about whether he'd then strung it on a nail next to the throne - tho' the paper isn't very absorbent. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Re: I wish :-)

I bought a copy in Falmouth. £3 bloody 50.....Bit of a story about some bloke going to Ireland I think. Bugger all else. No torpedoes or gun practices. Nothing exiting at all, and not an exploding toilet in sight...Bet they never had a panto at christmas either...... Cant see how you get any mates out of reading that.../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: MB&Y too.

I'm afraid I let my sub' lapse.
Despite Kim's best efforts, I just got brassed off with the hassle with the price of the sub' renewal, usually took a couple of months to settle down and always arrived after it was available in the shops.

I shall still buy it each month but from the newsagent not by subscribing.

Re: Honest reply

The same cut-off problem exists at Parcel Force, but they don't have a Kim to pour oil on troubled waters.
