Ipad or Laptop?

thanks for all your replies. The problem now seems to be buying an Ipad. The Apple shop in Exeter only invites me to "leave a message on our voicemail" and is not interested in speaking with me. That's **** customer service; if I ran my business like that I wouldn't have a business. So that experience makes me think about a laptop........

That's not that surprising - the one in Belfast is aways either engaged or on voicemail. You're better either calling the Apple Store direct (on 0800 048 0408 and you'll likely get a nice Irish or Swedish accent) or popping into the physical store.

The product is popular - that's actually a recommendation.

Doesn't really matter where you go, you're unlikely to just pick one up due to stock shortages. Best to just order online and wait for it to turn up, unless you want to try first in which case, oddly PC World is usually quite good for being quiet and having display stock around to let you have a tinker around.
