Ipad from Hong Kong?

A twist. If you happen to use an iPhone, don't bother about the 3G version of the iPad. Just upgrade the iPhone's firmware with iTunes and you can turn on a wifi 'hotspot' using its own 3G data connection. Then your iPad will operate using your iPhone's data package. So you only need a wifi version of the iPad, which (a) saves you the extra dosh for the 3G version and (b) liberates you to buy it in any country.
