IP Camera

Sorry to post Non-boaty, but such a wide range of peeps got most chance of hitting gold....

I am looking for an IP Camera, preferably wireless or WiFi, also moderately weatherproof... but I am mean and want to find a cheap one. Anyone any knowledge??

Try IP camera on Google. I did and was confused.What do you mean by cheap?

Yeah, it would help to know what you mean by cheap - is £88 for a wirelss ip camera cheap?

Did a search on EBay.com worldwide for "wireless IP camera " and got 117 hits.
All types and prices mainly US and UK

Hi LS, I was rather hoping to hit a user of these things who had already been round the loop. I did my Googling and found all sorts from about £80 to over £1000. The more difficult bit was weatherproof, but I can probably put in a box, but didnt want to. I want to rig a camera within range of my wifi, which has power only. With an IP camera, I can get it onto my private wifi LAN and catch certain criminals! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I took a peep at what peeps are looking at on Google and discovered Pepys had been there before. Got to go - Peep-peep!

Try a Linksys WVC54G. Wireless, with built in server.

Would recommend wiring any camera in as wireless can be flakey.

Note - WiFi is generally another name for Wireless. One of the same.
