Anyone going to the Isle Wight Festival this weekend? We'll be on the Folly pontoons as of tonight/tomorrow so feel free to pop along far a beer.

I wish I was - it's rather typical, the weather is perfect, and we've decided not to go (for the first time in 9 years!)
Still, got out for a craft sail this morning, and the Solent is as flat as a mill pond.
Enjoy - I reckon the Chilli Peppers will be fun!

not going, & so avoiding Cowes this weekend...
saw Chili Peppers at the Roundhouse about 7 or 8 years ago, they were on form!

Is it worth going still?
We havn't been for a couiple of years as it was getting crowded on the water and there seem to be more barriers in the way of tents and stands blocking the view and so, effectively the sound.
Any reports on recent , or even this years situation?

I think the tides are all wrong this year.
Don't fancy sitting on shopping trollies etc in the mud. May take a look tomorrow midday though

We're planning to tender it up to the Bargemans and see if we can soak up the atmosphere from there.
