We left a very unusual empty Greece in Late May and headed for Croatia we returned back in early September to found Corfu , Paxos and Mourtos full to the brim with private yacht , even the mostly empty inland sea around preveza seen to have lots of private yacht anchored and Levkas , Nidri same people who was anchored there early in the year , guess what ? Still there and mostly in the same spot . is every one having a late summer sail or are people just waiting for there lifted out date ?
What is strangers is there not many charters around ,
The good news is as we slowly moving south to spend the next six to eight week sailing the Peloponnese it started to look a lot better .
We looking forward to empty seas and anchorages in October and November ,
If anyone else planning a late sail around the Peloponnese we will be the other boat you just spotted .

sailaboutvic I returned to Punat/Island Krk/Croatia where you were in July. Season is off. Only a few Germans and Austirans drinking (too much) on the pier...
I miss Greece and I plan to move my boat to Preveza next year.
Enjoy Peloponisos!! We had a beautiful time sailing it around. Whish there was more time and better conditions to visit Kythera.
But we are young so I guess there will be plenty of time in the future

I think you arrived in Lefkas the day we left , not sure about next season yet , where we will go maybe some early months in Croatia before returning to Greece and then going to Turkey so yes next year my friend keep them beers cool , have a good winter back home , we plain to have a good one sailing until Dec .

Vliho isn't the only place , just wish they at less move once a week and empty their tank so people didn't have to swim in a sewage . Dirty B . And they call them self sailors .

I Alex I remember Krk great island , and Punat was nice very friendly marina although we never stayed in the marina , ,stay well have a good winter maybe next year we will cross paths .
we now enjoying an very empty Greece , not many people left as we head south .

Keep enjoying it Steve , we arrived in Zakynthos town , now waiting for some more wind to sail to Kallithea but it looks like we might be in for a bit of a wait , , not the best place to hang around maybe a short motor to morrow to Keri and anchor there and wait .

It's a well known phenomenon here in the Ionian but it has come a week early this year. It usually lasts around 10 days with calm seas and clear skies.

Ionian still pretty busy. A dozen of us in Port Leone overnight, Frikes was full yesterday and Fiscardo the same earlier this week.

High pressure keeping 'wind' to 5 kts or less.

Yesterday set off for Paleros from Aberliki bay , about five in evening ,wind averaged 18 knots all the way ,happy days -

Steve you have just come south around the Peloponnese , did you go into Pilos ? If so what the score there now , I not been in there for some years , is it a marina now , or can one still go on the wall free .
