Inverter replacement options

I put a cheap Maplins inverter in a few years ago. Hardly used until last summer I needed to charge my new toothbrush. I presume then that the reason the charger failed was a sine/other wave mismatch?

Ordinary Oral B toothbrush. Don't remember the inverter details.

Oral B travel cases run direct from 12V just cut off the transformer.
