I also run a generator all the time as I run a seakeeper. Next boat am hoping to replace a geny with batteries like the one on offer from integral marine. Only issue is the boats like the squadron 68 (had a sea trial yesterday at hythe and an excellent boat) use a seakeeper 16! Will wait a few more years for the tech to really bed in and improve.

. So, we COULD have a cuppa without running the generator but I don't encourage it and haven't told SWMBO that it is possible. She knows how to start the gene to make tea.
