Anybody know where I can get a Rich Electric Invertek combi -3 repaired? This is a 3000w inverter charger. I cant find a uk dealer. There is a dealer in Australia but a long way to go for a repair!
What is wrong with it? - The manual gives a load of faults and fixes - have you checked the internal cut out? - seems to be a common "fault"Anybody know where I can get a Rich Electric Invertek combi -3 repaired? http://www.richelectric.com.au/files/invertek_combi_3_user_manual.pdfYour manual sounds better than mine!
A thermostatic overheat device is often a bimetallic strip operated device similar to that found in many domestic appliances. Also known as a klixon.
However, sometimes when they cut out they do not reset when they cool.
The cure for this that sometimes works is a sharp jarr - thump it !
Simpler than a trip to Australia, however could be your simply operating it upside down !

Lake sailored! "internal cutout" <=> "Klixon" aka thermal overload cut out. RTFMI have brought the unit home so may pull the case apart and see if I can spot the klixon. Thanks for the advice
