Inverter cable size

Thanks. How about 400A T-class fuse then? Or even lower? Or it would be better to increase battery> latching relay >Mastershunt cable to e.g. 70 mm2? I'm aware latching relay would would be exposed, but it has 500A Continuous Rating and 700A (5 min) Intermittent Rating https://www.bluesea.com/products/77...Switch_with_Manual_Control_Auto-Release_-_12V

I'd be happier with the 400a fuse, it's a little over rated for 50mm cable, but would allow a little for surge, or you could indeed increase the cable size to 70mm from the battery to the Mastershunt, but if you then drop the cable size back to 50mm you need to re-fuse appropriately. With the latching relay being exposed (its ratings wouldn't be relevant in the case of a short circuit) you could minimise the risks by keeping the cable between the battery and relay, then relay to Mastershunt to the absolute minimum and make sure neither cable could be shorted out.

Also wondering about quality of cables. Is it safe to buy e.g. from here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flexible...m=201701872149&_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982

Yes, this is a reputable seller.
