Inverness Dinghy hire - no RYA certificate

The cruiser hire business at Laggan ( NE end of Loch Lochy) on the Caledonian Canal ( French name which I have forgotten) hires two or three very beat up old Moody 29s but you would be restricted to Banavie to Inverness. No salty water.

leboat! No boat hire anymore but thanks. Would be ok with no salty water! Wayfarere or something like that would be ideal.

Actually, it's West Highland Sailing at Laggan Lock, a leBoat agent who also operate their own motor cruisers

They did indeed used to hire out an assortment of Moody 28s (not 28s) and several other similar old and tired yachts that were all ex-YCA (we hired one of them in 2010) but it seems they've disposed of them now (shame cos whilst they may have been old and a bit shabby, they were cheap and basically serviceable)

They were still in use last summer, pity they are gone, there is plenty of scope for sailing on Loch Ness and Lochy. Might be worth asking Caley Cruisers, a couple of years back they had a Hawk in their yard which I was told they owned. They will know if anyone does.

If no qualifications and they will charter a boat to you get in quick as some insurance companies are now stipulating that the qualification requirement is increasing from day skipper to coastal skipper
