It can't just be us, summer season well in and the inevitable visits by family and friends commences.

Lovely? Yes, especially when they bring the spare fuel filters etc with them :). Joking aside, how many times should all of us expect to explain that we carry "x" amount of water so when finished have to find somewhere to fill up? (Nervously hovering in the background and trying not to yell when someone else is washing up under running water).

A friend of mine suggested saying that the water pump has an automatic timer, wait for guests to shower then switch pump off after 5 minutes! May put this into practice, 4 young ladies all aged 20 - 24 arriving in a couple of weeks and all have very long hair - oh dear....

Any other niggles we should be aware of in advance? (Oh, got one - collecting said ladies in the dinghy after they've been out on the town, sleep deprivation and 2 dinghy runs)! Love them really, one of the daughters and friends :)

I read an article along the same lines a few years ago. After the third daily replenishment of the water supply that should last a week, the pump in the shower mysteriously stopped functioning and they were able to do a bit more than day-sail from (ruinously expensive) marina to marina
