Introducing my self

Good morning,,
I would like to just say hello and introduce myself.
I am Steve, and have just bought my first boat. it is a 1958 Hampers of Fareham motor Cruiser called Cottontail. She is moored at Hythe Marina.
I am sure that as I begin this journey there are going to be loads of questions so please forgive them now.
I am currently living in Wokingham, just out side Reading.

A fine looking boat. Do you have much info on her, such as specs, engine and history?
You're in the right place to get loads of information, some of which might appear contradictory, but all with good intent.

I too have a Hampers boat, their very first stab at the XOD. They got it a bit wrong, she’s a bit too big. What a pity, never mind. Well built though, still on her original ribs though she's been refastened. Race boats have a hard life. Welcome to the forum, nice looking boat.

Thanks for all your welcomes. I will have all that history shortly.
I do know that she has only had 4 owners, and I will be the 5th.
I also know that the perkins engine she has now replaced the original.
