Bought a can of INTERNTIONAL BRIGHTSIDE SNOW WHITE ONE PACK POLYURETHANE PAINT and had a go at the fibre glass under the bunks. Came out nice white and clean. After 4 weeks however it had more or less the color of my Grandfathers teeth before he quit smoking his Habana's. :((. Any ideas what could have caused this? No spills no moisture though......

Psychodelic yacht!

I thought I'd achieved every conceivable form of paint failure, but never had that happen. And I've used International Snow White one-part polyurethane often.

Sounds like some sort of chemical reaction. If you use too much thinners, they can tend to dissolve the layer below and make it show through, but that's just a stab in the dark. I've found International very helpful on application problems in the past, it would be worth a call to 023 8022 6722. They also have a 'feedback' section on their website at http://www.yachtpaint.com/UK/ for technical questions, which I've not tried.

Re: Psychodelic yacht!

Did not use any thinner and the GRP was painted before cream color. It stayed white for a while so I do not think that it is the old layer affecting the new one.
