Interior teak refinishing - French Polish, oil, Danish oil, or what?

Thanks for the advice about getting oil out before varnishing. Might try giving a good clean with white spirit or similar, and see if that lightens the colour a bit. My problem might be the build up over the years. I do like the ease and speed of another coat of oil.

Re. International Woodskin (formerly Sikkens Cetol), this is a solvent-based varnish. not water-based. I found that it is not good for interior finishing as it has a slightly soft surface and the finish is not as nice looking as a satin varnish. Another vote for Ronseal, but definately NOT the "Quick-drying" variety or any water-based version.
