Came across SkipperGuide.com on another forum. On this site, you can enter descriptions of anchorages or marinas with coordinates and view them in Google Earth (Click on "Browse with Google Earth" just below the world map).
The difference is, that it is based on a wiki and is editable for everyone. It's quite new, so at the moment you will find some placemarks in Greece, at the Canary Islands, and in Norway. The vision is to achieve a better coverage of interesting sailing areas and to make it usable for planning sailing trips.

seems a good idea and worth adding too.

You can also check out CaptainWiki.com for a "one stop" worldwide site really geared towards the sailing community, they have some gorgeous new map markers and a base of over 4000 marinas just waiting for volunteers to enter more information. You can also search the websites of over 2000 marinas and 250 cruisers sites worldwide with the "Marine Search" engine.

Searush - Just thought you may be interested that for CaptainWiki so far the edit's have not been as much about sharing your favorite/secret anchorage as it is keeping the info up to date and creating a useful electronic guide for the world. Even though if you were on the receiving end of a "secret anchorage" I'm sure you wouldn't mind. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
