Interesting concept for PWC - no good for Med users though

Could you not fit davits to the swim platform at the rear and suspend the jet ski over the water instead?

Yes I suspect so, but then you need to attach it, lift it etc so I suppose this is simple in that you are towing it and the "arm" just stops it hitting the back of the boat. It is probably cheaper and wont require hard points and you can simply remove it.

The main thing will be to close the towing valve of the pWC or sea water could get into the engine.

I assume it would also work with a Willaims, but as the OP said in the Med it would not really help as you moor stern too.

There is no way I could get a jetski on my swim platform so I have never given one any thought. Not particularly elegant but it seems to work

On their website they have a video of the installation of the mounting plate. Does anyone know what those mounting nuts in the plastic loops are called and a possible source?

The weight of a jetski on my small 34 foot sports cruiser would most likely have a very pronounced negative effect on performance and weight distribution even if I could beef up the swim platform enough to take the weight notwithstanding the fact that it would never fit easily.

Delicate machines at the best of times .I wouldn’t, keep one in the sea for any longer than necessary inbetween freshwater flushes .
There’s antifoul issues on the hull and even possibly the impeller .Can,t see any “ propspeed “ or other prop AF sticking to a jet drive impeller.
Hmm best dry stored on board or shore and properly maintained.

Most these days have a closed circuit cooling with a seawater heat exchanger like a boat .How ever some have a raw water cooled exhaust, to stop the obvious it melting the plastic .That could be closed in the sense there’s no potential of communication between the seawater and the valves .
However older versions or cheap Chinese copy’s may have a basic riser whereby water injected into the gas at an elbow - not that far from the E valve openings .In this type Hurricanes right be hesitant towing one of theses as there’s a Sod’s law chance waves will back pressure up water into the exhaust through any open E valves , erh it will end - not good :disgust:

I thought that it wasn't a good idea to tow a jet boat for any significant distance.
Maybe it was just the old 2 stroke models though.

You are right. Williams fit a towing valve to stop possibility of water flowing back into engine.

Webber have a warning on their engine install manual of this so I assume all installed on jet skis have the same “issue”

I tow the rib from time to time but only at idle.

Yeah you need a tow valve to tow any raw water cooled ski.
With regards to a ski on davits or bathing platform...many make the mistake of underestimating the weight of a jet ski. Especially the recent 4 stroke ones. The average dry weight of your average 4 stroke these days is well in excess of 300kgs.
