really interesting looking boats.

i am a big fan of the XO range and we are looking for our next boat at the moment, Axopar don't seem to have a UK dealer at the moment but what odds on Wessex marine getting it?

their pricing looks typical, cheap headline and extras take it way up but will be asking them for some more details...

My thought process has been exactly the same since seeing the ad yesterday - even working out the maths. They don't work out quite so cheap but certainly look like good boats. I assume Wessex will develop it?

Have asked them for some more details but can't help but feel that a boat with headline price of 40k will end up at 140k by the time you add necessary extras (like an engine!)

I've seen them at the boat show but unfortunately have never set my foot on one so don't really have anything meaningful to add. Visually the freeboard looks low but the guardrail seems to be high enough for safe moving around, so overall I like the way they look. Very experienced people behind the brand so they should know what they are doing.

Yup take a look at a pricelist on the website eg http://www.axopar.fi/assets/PRICELISTS/Axopar-28-AC-price-list-25.8.2014-MY2015.pdf and you could easily end up spending 50% of the base price on extras plus the engine of course plus transport plus VAT and then, as you say, the total cost could be well over €100k which makes it pricey for a 28ft o/b powered boat. Still, I'd rather it was priced this way such that you could choose the exact spec of the boat and pay extra for it if you want than start with a loaded boat at a high price. These boats look good and should do well

Whilst I like the look of them I don't think the external access to the heads will go down all that well with some of the crew.
