I have in the past insured my sadler with Hill House Hammond but it has recently stopped dealing with marine insurance.
So I am looing for a competitive and reliable insurance company.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I posted in an older thread just a couple of days ago recommending DRL Marine www.drlmarine.co.uk. Ask to speak with Darren Lewis.

They offered me a great quote, fully comprehensive on my 1979 Westerly GK29 based in the Med, no need for a survey report. Here's a company that listens...

No connection with DRL Marine other than being very happy with the service.

Been with Navigators and General for a while now - no problems and competitive quotes each year. Not the cheapest but I believe you get what you pay for not that I would knock other companies, it is just I have had good service from N&G.

Best advice I would offer would be to phone around and ask for quotations and terms.

I've had good experience of GJW (advertise in all the mags); competitive quote and settled a claim very quickly and professionally.

I'm with Craftinsure.com. You can get your insurance online by filling in the field boxes - no need to talk to an advisor (unless you want to of course). I paid £135.00 fully comp for my 33 year old Islander 23 with a £150.00 excess. There are discounts for being a Yachtmaster and keeping the boat in a Marina. Going by other searches that I have made on the site for various boats I would have thought that the comprehensive premium for your boat would be about £185.00
