Our fully comp policy has just been increased by 30%. I told the broker I would let him know!
I am sure I have heard of cover which is limited to 'third party and total loss'. This would certainly fit our needs. Anybody any advice or comments?

It does sound like a good idea if you're keen on repairing and
maintaining your own boat and you don't have a large marine mortgage.
However I don't think it's easy to obtain.
Insurers are rightly suspicious of being "sold" their clients boats.
Many long distance cruisers, myself included, eventually settle
for third party only!!

Elenya,
Ive used Pantaenius in Plymouth for several years.
Their insurance rolls over every year without further negotiation,
especially if you establish direct debit. This is useful if you're away
cruising at the renewal period.
