Insurance woes

I ve had two claims on different boats both with GJW and they were settled in full with no objection and no penalty by return of telephone call, I didnt need to fill in a claim form (at the time), they telephoned the marina to confirm the circumstances. True, on both occasions I was not on the boat when the damage occured.

I would avoid ANY form of insurance involving AXA. It took me 6 months and a hell of a lot of work to get them to pay out on the most straight-forward of claims. Used every excuse and wriggle in the book to try and avoid paying out and only did so finally when threatened with the Insurance Ombudsman. Never again! N&G get my vote.

Saga was cheapest quote for my boat but conditions were too restrictive so went with the scheme of my class association.
