Insurance Problem

Hi,
I have a 9 foot rowing boat with a 4hp seagull outboard which I am unable to insure as I have been told I need the make/model/year of manufacture details which I do not have. All I wish to use it for is for poodling up and down the River Wey and just need basic 3rd party insurance. Any advice on where I turn to next will be most welcome please!!!

Either try a different company ,or how about 'its a 9' Angler, made by the (now closed) Wey Boatbuilding Co., in 1957. Serial no. 7643(you may have to stick this on!)

Try www.noblemarine.co.uk I have my 50 year old-ish, open wooden boat, builder unknown somewhere in the Shetlands insured with them. They have never been picky about fine details.

Try the Basic boat liability company, they are the cheapest of the lot & offer third party only at around £80 a year.

Send them a photo as well ? 1 pic = 1000 words, etc.

Thanks to you all for your help. I contacted Jon Langford at www.noblemarine.co.uk who was brilliant and I am now insured, and for the bargain price of £26.25! I cannot recommend him highly enough!
