My insurance does cover this specifically, but....
There are other wording and clauses that trouble me. For instance, the boat is insured against loss or damage due to the "natural action of the wind and waves" (along with the usual theft / fire / vandalism etc).
When my boat sprang a leak because the transom shield had corroded, I asked them if it would have been covered if the boat had sunk in the harbour. The answer was likely as not, no! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
How does this approach compare with others??
