Hi,

Does anyone know of any reputable insurers that would consider insuring ex-navy of wooden construction without engines?

I am having great difficulty even getting third party. At the moment she is moored on the Thames and is a renovation project and I am worried if she were to break loose in a flood she could do considerable harm to others being 40ft and 17 tonnes.

Any advice on insurers or brokers appreciated!!

Thanks for the suggestions that's really helpful.

I will check them out.

Pyrojames - I am already with Northern Reef but the money they are asking is scary when I am not sure they would pay out - as you say!!!

Thanks again, very quick response!

Thanks will check them out too.

Basic Boats have already said they'll insure any boat up to 60ft without survey for 3rd party for £69/yr.

I am now seeing if I can find someone to do fully comp at a reasonable price as that is the preferred option so I'll let you know if i have any success.

If not I'll be going for Basic Boats.
