Insurance for a boat over 40 years old

My Prelude 19 is now over 40 and despite being in good nick I can't find any insurance companies who will provide full cover, only 3rd party.
Has anyone else found a company who will insure an older fibreglass boat?

All suggestions welcome.

A lot depends on where you moor it ,I am finding that unless its kept in a marina they dont want to know.

Bishop Skinner are happy to insure my 1972 Trident 24.No survey, but I periodically have to produce a set of photos to evidence her general condition.

Y Yacht Insurance covers my 41 year old boat no problem.

Not necessarily the very cheapest, but fairly competitive on price, good cover (compared to common exclusions from others), good reputation, and nice to deal with.

They were a bit picky though: insisting some survey recomendations were carried out before launch.

Given the value of your boat - market value, not her value to you - is it worth paying the extra for fully comp? I pay £80 a year for third party for my 50 year old Snapdragon

I use Bishop Skinner for my 42yr old Moody - had to have a condition survey a yr ago which did pick up a couple of points(worn steering cables and loose tabbing in forepeak as the pertinent points) Also new standing rigging 2yrs ago which did pick up some potential failure issues. On a swinging mooring, only proviso is ashore from Nov. to March.
