I am in the unexpected position of have TWO quotes for my proposed bluewater cruise, from Pantaenius and from Admiral. Both will allow me to cross the oggin with just the two of us (Mrs J and me) and in all other respects, there are swings and roundabouts but the two quotes are pretty much of a muchness and I am having great trouble deciding which to go for....... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Does anybody have anything AGAINST either of these companies? If you are worried about the laws of libel etc., perhaps you would be kind enough to send me a PM.

Thanks,

Paul.

Well I 'phoned Admiral yesterday and a cover note arrived this morning! Starting cover on 1st July. Only condition is underwriters sight and approval of age of standing rigging
Also included is the Rally + Endorsement for the ARC.

I think Panti sRus had some bad press on here a while ago but the thread got pulled.

Think I would go with the Tri corner hat brigade myself or Nav & Gen. Do seem to remember something about Pantis R us a while ago sort of put me off renewing with them. I would give N&G a call as well - no harm in a third opinion.

Thanks for your reponses. The reason it came down to these two companies is that all the others, including N&G, required a minimum of three crew on board for the crossing. However, having narrowed it down to these two, I can't find a good reason to tip the balance either way. In "another place" (Liveaboard Link) the balance seems to be in favour of Pantaenius..... Oh dear, it looks as though I am going to have to make a decision..... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
