Insurance Company Recommendations

Just got my renewal notice through from Nav and Gen and after my claim last year they’ve doubled the premium – thanks chaps.

So, can anyone recommend a good insurance company – I know it’s a long shot but there might just be one out their somewhere.

I use Noble Marine ( agents for Norwich Union ) 01636 707606 , they seem helpfull and paid up OK when I had a claim. I lost my NC Bonus ,about 20%, but that is fair enough.

Double premium might be thought by some to be their way of telling you that they no longer want your business (I very much doubt they expect anyone to renew when they do this). Maybe someone in the trade could tell us if renewals after a claim are ALWAYS worked to a formula or if there IS leeway for them to put out a preventative quote. Might depend on the circumstances of the claim?

Apparently GJW Direct are good. Don't use Haven Knox-Johnston - it's a nightmare if you need to make a claim.
